E' stata una serata magica per l'orchestra diretta da Gaetano D'Espinosa che ha saputo trarre dalla compagine orchestrale un'eccellente potenza espressiva, mostrando una grande maestria nei tempi dei suoni che Strauss prolunga e nelle melodie che si incrociano con armonie ardite, estremamente innovative per quel 1905 che vide il primo successo dell'opera.
