Following her recent debut at the Berlin Philharmonie, Netherlands-based Israeli violinist Anna Lipkind-Mazor was hailed as a “modern-day shaman of sound”—an artist who breathes music with body, soul, and silence, enchanting audiences from the very first note with her luminous presence and profound expressivity.
Anna has performed at many of the world’s most prestigious concert venues, including the Berlin Philharmonie, Vienna Konzerthaus, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Philharmonie de Paris, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Musikverein Vienna, KKL Luzern, Flagey Brussels, Sakura Hall Tokyo, Frankfurt’s Sendesaal, the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, and the Charles Bronfman Auditorium in Tel Aviv, home of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
Her expansive concerto repertoire reflects an unwavering commitment to artistic innovation, musical discovery, and the embrace of contemporary voices. She performs not only the great masterworks of Beethoven, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky, Dvořák, and Prokofiev, but also bold and compelling works by Noam Sheriff, Paul Ben-Haim, Sofia Gubaidulina, Philip Glass, Jörg Widmann, and Lera Auerbach. This same spirit animates her solo and recital work, where she brings fresh perspective to a wide-ranging repertoire—from the timeless mastery of Bach and Ysaÿe to the distinctive voices of Denisov, Weinberg, Szymanowski, and Penderecki. A passionate advocate for contemporary music, she collaborates closely with leading composers and has premiered several new works, reaffirming her role as a fearless and vital presence in today’s violin landscape.
A passionate and sought-after chamber musician, Anna has collaborated with renowned artists such as Peter Donohoe, Pavel Gililov, Ivry Gitlis, Julian Rachlin, Natalia Gutman, Pinchas Zukerman, and Patricia Kopatchinskaja at leading festivals including the Oleg Kagan Festival, Miyazaki Festival, GAIA Festival, Portogruaro Festival, Brandenburgische Sommerkonzerte, and the Eilat Chamber Music Festival. She was a longtime member of the acclaimed Lipkind Quartet and co-produced the critically praised Lipkind Plays… series.
In 2024, she co-founded the Amsterdam Piano Trio with pianist Andrey Gugnin and cellist Dmitry Prokofiev, quickly earning recognition for their performances across Europe.
Beyond the concert stage, Anna is a visionary curator and creative force. She is the founder of the Amsterdam Concert Series and serves as Head of Artistic Programming at ConcertLab B.V., an innovative platform founded by internationally celebrated cellist Gavriel Lipkind.
Highlights of Anna’s 2024–25 season include the world premiere of Mikołaj Majkusiak’s Triple Concerto: Images from the Darkness at the Berlin Philharmonie, a chamber performance with the Amsterdam Trio at the Konzerthaus Berlin in April 2025, and her debut at the 75th edition of the Festival Pablo Casals de Prades. In May 2025, she will record the Amsterdam Piano Trio’s debut album for Hyperion Records, featuring Tchaikovsky’s Piano Trio and a newly arranged version of Schoenberg’s Verklärte Nacht—milestones that mark the beginning of a bold and deeply resonant new chapter in her artistic journey. Later in the year, she will further enrich her recorded repertoire with an interpretation of Prokofiev’s two violin sonatas, deepening her exploration of 20th-century music.
Anna began her musical education in Tel Aviv under Prof. Irina Svetlova, and at age sixteen made her debut with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Zubin Mehta. She had previously appeared as a soloist with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of Chisinau, and Sinfonietta Baden. She later studied with Prof. Pavel Vernikov at the Vienna Conservatory and Prof. Josef Rissin at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe, further honing her artistry through mentorships and masterclasses with legendary figures including Zakhar Bron, Boris Kuschnir, Salvatore Accardo, Victor Danchenko, Ida Haendel, Shlomo Mintz, Miriam Fried, Thomas Brandis, Petru Munteanu, Itzhak Perlman, Ivry Gitlis, Tsugio Tokunaga, and György Pauk.
Anna performs on a 1781 Gagliano violin (“Martelenne”), generously supported by R&v.T.
