Marco Guidarini's career spans the world's leading opera houses and concert halls, bringing exceptional international experience to the TACT roster.
Guidarini's operatic highlights include performances at the Metropolitan Opera (Rigoletto), Teatro alla Scala (Le Convenienze ed Inconvenienze Teatrali), as well as numerous productions at Teatro Colón Buenos Aires, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Opera Australia and Bayerische Staatsoper. His North American engagements encompass the Canadian Opera Company, Vancouver Opera, Los Angeles Opera, and New York City Opera. He has conducted extensively in Australia, with productions including Tosca, Die Zauberflöte, and Così Fan Tutte, as well as Verdi's Requiem with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
From 2001 to 2009, Guidarini served as Music Director of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Nice, where he focused on 20th-century repertoire. He founded the contemporary music Ensemble Apostrophe and established the International Belcanto Competition Vincenzo Bellini as its artistic director. His recordings include the critically acclaimed Deutsche Grammophon release of Alfano's Cyrano de Bergerac.
Guidarini's symphonic work encompasses complete Mahler and Brahms cycles and collaborations with orchestras including the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra RAI di Roma, and SWF Symphony Orchestra of Baden-Baden. His recordings of Italian symphonic music with I Pomeriggi Musicali in Milan and Edouard Lalo's violin and orchestra concertos demonstrate his versatility across repertoires.
Recognized as Grande Ufficiale dell'Ordine della Stella d'Italia (2006) and Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (2008), Marco Guidarini continues to maintain an active international career in both operatic and symphonic repertoire.
