Giorgi Sturua ist Laca. Er liebt Jenůfa lange mit Intensität und Leidenschaft wie ein Vulkan vor dem Ausbruch. Gürbaca zwingt ihn wohl zur Zurückhaltung, lässt ihn bisweilen aber ausbrechen. Sturua folgt diesem Regiekonzept bedingungslos, hält seine Stimme im Zaum, um sie im richtigen Moment voll zu entfalten. Mit aller Wucht und unbändiger Kraft.
