TACT is delighted to congratulate the recent GRAND PRIX title of Mezzo Soprano, Olga Syniakova, in the distinguished VIII Concurso Internacional de Canto Alfredo Kraus / VIII CICAK!
For the Final of the Alfredo Kraus International Competition, mezzo-soprano Olga Syniakova chose to interpret especially complex arias from operas by Mozart, Bellini, Donizetti and Saint-Säens. Her performance was noted to have "a strong dramatic intensity that [ ] captivated the jury" - La Provincia.
In an interview for La Provincia, Olga notes, that chosing a repertoire for the competition is a deliberate and careful decision. An artist must taking into consideration that the jury, comprised of distinguished opera professionals, who not only look for technical excellence, but want to see a vocal technique translated into convincing characterizations.
We wish Olga further success in her endeavors and look forward to seeing her on stage this year, performing with many fantastic organizations from many corners of the world, from Spain to Austria to the USA!
