GRAMMY Award for Met's "Porgy and Bess" with Frederick Ballentine

The 2021 GRAMMY Award for Best Opera Recording was awarded to Frederick Ballentine and the cast of Gershwin's "Porgy and Bess", a James Robinson production of the Metropolitan Opera. 

Ballentine's Met debut portraying Sportin’ Life was called "excellent." and "mightly impressive" by the press. Frederick wowed the critics and the audience " with a vocal authority that made it sound as if he had commanded this huge stage for years". 

Congratulations to Frederick and the whole cast on a well deserved award, for their stunning performance and this incredible achievement!
