The nominees for the 2021 Golden Mask, the most prestigious theatrical award in Russia were announced, and we are extremely excited to see a number of productions with TACT artists in the list!
Bolshoi Theatre productions of Purcell's "Dido and Aeneas" (with Alexander Miminoshvili and Ekaterina Vorontsova in the title roles) and "Sadko" (conducted by Timur Zangiev, with Maxim Paster and Andrei Popov altering the part of Sopel and stage director & live action designer Ran Arthur Braun directing the fight scenes), as well as Lolita ( directed by Slava Daubnerova, featuring Alexander Milkhailov as Claire Quilty and Petr Sokolov as Humbert) from the Marinsky Theatre and "The Rake's Progress" (conductor - Timur Zangiev) of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theatre are presented in the Best Opera Productions category.
Timur Zangiev is nominated for Best Conductor ("The Rake's Progress") this year, and Petr Sokolov and Alexander Mikhailov are both nominated as Best Actors for their performances in Shchedrin's "Lolita".
