We are excited to announce that conductor Ayyub Guliyev, Artistic director and Principal conductor of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, joins TACT's roster for General Management.
One of the most honored Azerbaijan conductors of his generation, Ayyub Guliyev is the recepient of numerous music and state Awards.
His professional career brought Mr. Guliyev to Europe, USA and Asia, conducting orchestras such as: Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, Russian National Orchestra, Lamoureux Symphony Orchestra, Wiener Kammerorchester, Toscanini Philharmonic, St.-Petersburg, Baku, Astana, Bishkek, Kaliningrad, Zagreb and Moldova Philharmonics, Bohdan Warchal Slovak Chamber Orchestra, Turkey Presidential and Lithuania Symphony Orchestras, the Athens Colours Orchestra, Podlasie, Lublin, Kielce, Koszalin, Sopot, Lodz, Baltic Philharmonics in Poland, State Capella and Hermitage orchestras in St.-Petersburg, as well as orchestras of the Mariinsky Theatre, Belarus Bolshoi Theatre, Belgrade National Opera, Kiev State Opera, Tashkent Opera.
Ayyub Guliev's recent and upcoming engagements include "One Thousand And One Night " at the Mariinsky Theatre and "Sleeping beauty" on Mariinsky Primorsky stage, "La boheme", "Tosca", "Il Trovatore", "Aida", "Rigoletto", "La traviata", "L'elisir d'amore", "Cavalleria Rusticana", "Carmen", "Aleko", "Swan Lake", "Nutcraker" at Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. Collaboration with World Chamber Orchestra at Vancouver International Music Festival (Sound Landscapes), with Slovak Chamber orchestra at Reduta Hall Bratislava, as well as appearances at Klassz a Parton International Music Festival Budapest, Tagliacozzo "Mezza Estate" Music Festival, Bad Endorf International Opera Festival.
