Adam Palka makes his successful debut at Glyndebourne Festival this summer. The young bass performs in Rossini's masterpiece Il Barbiere di Siviglia with Maestro Rafael Payare and alongside Alessandro Corbelli, Hera Hyesang Park, Levy Sekgapane and Andrey Zhilikhovsky in Annabel Arden’s stylish production.
This closes a successful season for Adam, with another debut at Teatro Real Madrid as Méphisto in Faust and his return to Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf as Alidoro in Cenerentola, next to his appearencs as Colline, Sparafucile and Don Basilio at the Staatsoper Stuttgart where he is an ensemble member.
With no rest in sight, current season begins with two highly anticipated debuts. Adam will appear at the Opéra de Paris Bastille as Skula in Prince Igor followed by his performances at the Teatro Liceu Barcelona as Oroe in Semiramide. At the Staatsoper Stuttgart he is set to make his role debut in the title part of Boris Godunov and in Boito’s Mephistopheles, along with Méphisto in Faust, and Sparafucile in Rigoletto.
Adam’s future engagements include debuts at the ROH Covent Garden, Wiener Staatsoper, and Canadian Opera Company in Toronto, his return to Teatro Liceu Barcelona, along with his regular appearances at the Staatsoper Stuttgart. His future roles include Mephistopheles Faust, Filippo II Don Carlo, Count Rodolfo La Sonnambula, Gremin Eugene Onegin, Escamillo Carmen.
