Teatr Wielki Opera Narodowa announced its upcoming season 20/21.

Iryna Zhytynska will start the season with a premiere of Massenet’s “Werther” as Charlotte, joined by Stanislav Kuflyuk as Albert and Jerzy Butryn as La Balli.

Soprano Ewa Vesin will return to Warsaw in the title roles in the revivals of “Tosca” and “Halka”, playing in October - November 2020.

In February “The Haunted Manor” will be back on Teatr Wielki’s stage, with Ania Jeruc as Hanna. Ewa Płonka will appear in the title role of Verdi’s “Aida” in March-April 2021. In June, Ania Jeruc  and Simon Mechlinski are set to take the stage as Musette and Marcelo in the new production of Puccini’s “La Bohème.”
