Liuba Orfenova, pianist, language coach
Liuba Orfenova, daughter of the Russian tenor, Anatoly Orfenov, was born in Moscow and studied at the Moscow Conservatory, Liubov Orfenova has given many recitals.
Since 1991 Liuba Orfenova has worked as a coach with soloists of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theatre. She made her debut in Western Europe at the Bregenzer Festspiele in the same year.
Liuba Orfenova was awarded the title of Honoured Artist of Russia and is prize winner of several piano competitions.
Liuba Orfenova regularly tours in Russia and abroad and appears with artists such as Sergei Leiferkus, Ljubov Kazarnovskaya, Vitaly Tarashchenko, whom she has often accompanied on recordings.
She has also been conductor's musical assistant during recordings for Deutsche Grammophon / N. Jarvi (Mazeppa, Aleko, Francesca da Rimini, The Miserly Knight) , BMG / G. Rozhdestvensky (Rothschild's Violin), CHANDOS / G. Rozhdestvensky (Moskva Cheremushky), EMI / J. Conlon (Le Rossignol, Renard).

More recently Liuba Orfenova worked at ROH Covent Garden (Tchaikovsky's Cherevichki) and Lille (Eugene Onegin).
