Carine Séchaye, mezzo soprano
Swiss mezzo soprano, Carine Séchaye, made her operatic debut as Honora in Tom Jones by Philidor at the opera house in Lausanne.
Since she sang Cherubino in Le nozze de Figaro (Lausanne), Nancy in Albert Herring (Darmstadt), Marmotte in Le Verfügbar aux Enfers (Théâtre du Châtelet, Paris), Mélisande in Pelléas et Mélisande (Darmstadt and Stuttgart), Chef des Amazones in Scene de Chasse by R. Koering (Montpellier), and Myrtale in Thaïs (Metz).
She has sung Mercédès in Carmen (Lausanne, Vichy-France and Tokyo), Flora in La Traviata (Avenches Festival), both Mastrilla and Frasquinella in La Périchole (Toulouse), Page in Salome (Genève), and the title part in Le Chat Botté by Montsalvage (Lausanne).
Carine Séchaye has recently performed Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte (Toulon), Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Rouen), Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro (Toulon), Sméraldine in L'amour des trois oranges (Dijon), and a series concerts with an Offenbach program (Rouen).
Upcoming engagements include Octavian in Der Rosenkavalier (Darmstadt), Berta in Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Genève), and Sméraldine in L'amour des trois oranges (Genève).
