Julie Fuchs, soprano

French soprano, Julie Fuchs, studied viola, chamber music, theater and musicology at the Conservatory and the University in Montpellier, before starting her singer's education at Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris (with Robert Dumé and Alain Buet).

 

Julie Fuchs is the recipient of the 1st Prize at the International Competition UFAM (Mélodie Française), 1st Prize at the 20th edition of Concours FLAME, and the 'Revelation Classique' Prize (ADAMI 2009).

 

She performed at Festival 'Off and Back in Venelles', Festival Lyrique of Gigondas, and at the TV program 'La Boîte à Musique' of J-F Zygel (TV France 2).

 

She sang the roles of Elle in L'Amour masqué by Messager (Musée d'Orsay, Paris), Eurydice in Orphée et Eurydice by Gluck (Théâtre Mouffetard, Paris), a recital with works by Haydn and Mozart in the Academy of Festival d'Aix-en-Provence (Camerata Salzbourg, Louis Langree, conductor), Maria in The Sound of Music (Théâtre du Châtelet, Paris), Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro (Paris, Kenneth Weiss, conductor).

 

Upcoming engagements include Diane in Offenbach's Orphée aux enfers (Aix-en-Provence, Toulon, Dijon, and Versailles), concert with Stockhausen's Weltparlament (Ensemble Accentus, Paris, Cité de la Musique), Haydn's Die Schöpfung (Le Concert Spirituel), recital with J.C.Malgoire (Fribourg), recital with Le Concert Spirituel (Venice and Versailles), Spinette in La Vénitienne by Dauvergne (Liège, Versailles) Magicienne and Choryphée in J.C. Bach's Amadis de Gaulle (Venice, Paris, Lubljana, and Versailles), a recording of Max d'Ollone's Cantate Frédégonde (Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra, Hervé Niquet, conductor).
