Roman Burdenko, baritone

Roman Burdenko has performed Escamillo in Carmen, Belcore in L'elisir d'amore, both Tonio and Silvio in I Pagliacci, Alfio in Cavaleria Rusticana, Shelkalov in Boris Godunov, the title part in Eugene Onegin, Ibn-Hakia in Iolanta, Yeletsky in The Queen of Spades, Germont in La Traviata, and Egist in Orestea.

 

Recently he was a soloist in an Opera High Lights concert in Accademia di Santa Cecilia (Rome) and he has performed Escamillo in Carmen (Novosibirsk, Russia), Sasha in Moskva Cheremushki (Lyon), Tonio in I Pagliacci and Alfio in Cavaleria Rusticana (Santiago de Chile), Renato in Ballo in Maschera (Mikhailovsky Theatre, St. Petersburg).

 

Upcoming engagements include Paolo Albiani in Simon Boccanegra (Strasbourg and Santiago de Chile), the title role in Prince Igor (Bangkok Cultural Centre, Novossibirsk Opera), Ibn-Hakia in Iolanta (Madrid), Rangoni in Boris Godounov (Santiago de Chile), next to his commitment to Mikhailovsky Theatre, St. Petersburg where he can be heard as Germont in La Traviata, Robert in Iolanta, and Tomsky in Pique Dame.

Roman Burdenko is the winner of many singing competition including Elena Obraztsova International Competition (1st Prize, 2009) and Galina Vishnevskaya International Opera Singers Competition (1st Prize, 2008), among others.
