Tansel Akzeybek, tenor

Tansel Akzeybek received his first professional engagement at State Opera Izmir where he performed roles such as Borsa in Rigoletto, Nathanaël in Les Contes d'Hoffmann, Albazar in Il Turco in Italia, Bardolfo in Falstaff, and Remendado in Carmen.

He also appeared  as Jaquino in Fidelio (Music Festival Turkey and North Cyprus), Spoletta in Tosca (International Aspendos Opera Festival Antalya), Beppe in I Pagliacci (Eutiner Festspiele), and Pedrillo in Die Entführung aus dem Serail (Europa Festival 2006).

 

Tansel Akzeybek has been in fixed engagement with Theater Dortmund for the last two seasons. He has performed roles such as Pedrillo in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Jonathan in König David, Remendado in Carmen, Graf Almaviva in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Hans Wurst in Einstein, The Astrologer in The Golden Cockerel, 1st Jude in  Salome, Freddy in  My Fair Lady, Wenzel in  Die Verkaufte Braut, and Beppe in I Pagliacci.

 

He has performed Il Conte Almaviva in Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Erfurt), Raoul de Gardefeu in La Vie Parisienne, Pedrillo in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Tamino in Die Zauberflöte, Lindoro in L'Italiana in Algeri (Dortmund), Gaston in La Traviata (Lyon), and  Trouffaldino in L'Amour des trois oranges (all in Bonn).

 

More recently has sung Nemorino in L'elisir d'amore, Wania in Káťa Kabanová, Des Rabbis Jünger in Der Golem (all in Bonn), and Flavio in Norma (Konzerthaus Dortmund, Th. Hengelbrock, conductor, C.Bartoli as Norma).

 

Upcoming engagements include Doge de Venise and Le Gondolier in Rossini's Otello (Lyon and Théâtre des Champs-Elysées Paris), the title role in Oberon (Toulouse), Tapioca in L'Etoile (Limoges), Nemorino in L'elisir d'amore (Saint-Etienne), Pang  in Turandot, El Remendado in Carmen, Wania in Káťa Kabanová, and Trouffaldino in L'Amour des trois oranges (Theater Bonn, Germany).
