Kelly God, soprano
Dutch soprano, Kelly God, received her first engagement at the Erfurt Opera House, Germany. She performed there the title role in Adriana Lecouvreur, Nedda in I Pagliacci, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, Hanna Glawari in Die Lustige Witwe, The Cook in Waiting for the Barbarians by Phillip Glass (world première), the title role in Maria Stuarda, Erste Dame in Die Zauberflöte, Amazily in Fernand Cortez by G. Spontini, and Katharina von Bora in Luther by Peter Aderhold (world première), among others.
At present, Kelly God is a permanent resident soloist at the Hannover State Opera. There she has performed Elisabeth in Tannhäuser, Hanna in Die lustige Witwe, and Giulietta in Les Contes d'Hoffmann, Ellen Orford in Peter Grimes. She performed the same role in Kassel and Agathe in Freischütz in Brasil.
More recently she made her role debuts as Ellen Orford in Peter Grimes (Hannover and Kassel), Marschallin in Der Rosenkavalier (Hannover), and Amelia in Un Ballo in Maschera (Nationale Reisopera Enschede).
Upcoming engagements include Vier letzte Lieder (Vredenburg Utrecht), Sieglinde in Die Walküre (Hannover and Nationale Reisopera Enschede), Marschallin in Der Rosenkavalier, Gräfin in Le Nozze di Figaro, Freia in Rheingold, and Ellen Orford in Peter Grimes again (all in Hannover).
