Pavel Baleff, conductor

Since  2007, Pavel Baleff is the chief-conductor of the Baden - Baden Philharmonic and Artistic Director of the International Carl Flesch Academy.

Pavel Baleff was the Musical Director of the Dresden Chamber Opera (1998-99), first conductor at the Rostock Opera (1999-2002), and first conductor and deputy general music director  at the opera in Halle (2002-07).

Pavel Baleff is a regular guest conductor of several national and international orchestras including The National Opera in Hannover (The Rake's progress), Komische Oper in Berlin (Il barbiere di Siviglia, Fidelio), Semperoper Dresden (Die Zauberflöte).

Pavel Baleff conducted the  Radio Orchestra of WDR Koeln, the Munich Radio Orchestra, the Weimar National Theater, the Bulgarian National Radio Orchestra, and more than 50 other orchestras in Germany, Poland, Hungary, Austria, Russia, Bulgaria, Italy and France.

 

He also conducted a concert with Edita Gruberova at the Menuhin  Festival in Gstaad (Switzerland) with the Baden- Baden Philharmonic.

 

Recent and upcoming operatic engagements include appearances with Brandenburger Symphoniker, Orquestra Simfonica de Balears - Palma de Mallorca, and Munich Radio Orchestra.

 

Upcoming operatic engagements include both Der fliegende Holländer and Rigoletto (Semperoper Dresden) and Lucia di Lammermoor (Avenches Festival), among others.
